Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Check before use: Before each use, check the integrity of blades, handles, rivets, and sheaths or blocks. Do not use a damaged or loose knife.
• Safe handling: Cut on a stable board, protect fingers by folding them into a "claw," cut away from the body, and never try to catch a falling knife.
• Follow manufacturer’s instructions: Follow the information on the intended use of the knives in the set (e.g., chef’s, carving, bread) and respect the stated limitations.

Proper and Safe Use

• Use as intended: Use each knife in the set for the purpose it is designed for (e.g., cutting food, chopping herbs, carving).
• Improper use: Do not use for prying, screwing, opening cans, chopping bones or frozen foods unless the knife is explicitly designed for that; do not expose to fire, extreme temperatures, or aggressive chemicals.
• Safe environment: Do not leave knives in the sink with water or under piles of dishes; store them immediately in a safe place to prevent injury.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage
