Important safety notice for kitchen accessories in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the correct and safe use of kitchen accessories. Due to possible sharp edges, fragile materials, high temperatures, magnetic elements, and contact with food, it is essential to follow the instructions below to prevent injuries and damage. This notice is issued based on the requirements of the European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on general product safety (hereinafter referred to as "GPSR").

Basic safety and handling principles

• Keep out of reach of children: Some accessories may have sharp edges, points, small parts, strong magnets, or glass/ceramic parts.
• Check before use: Inspect for cracks, loose joints, damaged handles, chipped edges, and worn seals. Do not use a damaged product.
• Safe handling of heat: Use oven mitts when handling hot containers; do not place plastic or silicone directly on flame or hot coils.
• Workplace stability: Use on a clean, dry, and stable surface; ensure accessories do not slip or tip over.
• Follow manufacturer’s instructions: Respect the intended use (food contact, temperature limits, microwave/oven/dishwasher) and warnings provided with the product.

Proper and safe use

• Use as intended: Use accessories only for the activities they are designed for (e.g., spatulas for flipping, peelers for peeling, measuring cups for measuring).
• Improper use: Do not use for prying, chopping, screwing, handling open flames, or as toys. Do not place magnetic holders within reach of children or sensitive electronics.
• Safe environment: Use sharp tools (graters, peelers) away from the body; do not overheat glass containers locally or knock them against hard surfaces.

Cleaning, maintenance, and storage

• Cleaning: Clean according to the material; avoid abrasive sponges and aggressive cleaners that may damage the surface. Wash thoroughly before first use and after contact with raw meat.
• Maintenance: Treat wooden parts with suitable oil; replace worn seals and cracked containers. Damaged non-stick surface coatings are grounds for disposal.
• Storage: Store dry and clean; keep sharp items separately or with covers; keep magnetic parts away from payment cards and sensitive electronics.

Specific health warnings

• Food contact: Use only materials suitable for food contact; do not use the product if it smells, is discolored, or the surface peels.
• Cross-contamination: Use separate tools for raw and cooked foods; wash tools and hands after contact with raw ingredients.
• Allergies: Some materials and surface coatings may cause reactions; stop using the product if irritation occurs and consult a doctor if necessary.

Disposal

• Safe disposal: Wrap broken glass/ceramics in sturdy material; sort metal, plastic, and wooden parts according to local regulations; hand over magnets and electronic components to collection points.

Incidents and contact

• In case of an incident (injury, burn, food contamination), stop using the product immediately. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
