Important Safety Notice for Leggings in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2023/988 on General Product Safety (GPSR)

This is a targeted safety notice for the proper and safe use of leggings (leisure, sports/compression, thermal, seamless, high-waisted, with mesh or reflective elements). Due to elastic materials, breathability, compression, possible sheerness, and skin contact, please follow the instructions below.

Basic Safety and Handling Principles

• Correct size and fit: Choose a size that does not restrict blood circulation or movement; do not wear excessively tight compression leggings for prolonged periods.
• Sheerness and material integrity: Check seams and transparency when stretched before wearing; damaged or weakened parts may tear.
• Flammability: Synthetic fibers are flammable and may melt; keep them away from open flames, sparks, and hot surfaces.
• Items in pockets: Sharp objects (keys, pins) can tear the material and injure the skin; carry them separately.

Proper and Safe Use

• Activities: For sports, choose a model with appropriate compression, breathability, and anti-slip features; for cycling, prefer specific cycling pants with padding.
• Temperature and overheating: For high exertion and heat, choose breathable materials; discontinue use if overheating or skin irritation occurs.
• Reflective elements: When moving in low visibility, prefer models with reflective details; these do not replace active lighting.
• Silicone hems and strips: May leave marks; if uncomfortable pressure or irritation occurs, choose a different model.

Cleaning, Maintenance, and Storage

• Washing: Wash inside out according to the label, at low temperatures and without fabric softener (which reduces elasticity and sweat wicking); do not use bleach.
• Drying: Air dry freely; avoid tumble drying and direct heat, which can damage elastane and bonded seams.
• Maintenance: After training, set aside and dry to reduce irritation risk; do not sew damaged seams or tears with thick thread, replace the product instead.

Specific Health Warnings

• Allergies and sensitive skin: Some dyes, latex/silicone elements, or elastane may cause reactions; discontinue use if redness, itching, or rash occurs.
• Circulation and nerves: Prolonged excessive pressure around the waist/thighs may cause numbness; choose milder compression and take breaks.
• Hygiene: Replace leggings after intense sweating; prolonged moisture promotes skin irritation.

Disposal

• Sorted waste: Deliver textiles to textile collection points; separate plastic accessories (zippers, labels) according to local regulations. Render damaged elastic parts unusable to prevent further use.

Incidents and Contact

• In case of an incident (allergic reaction, abrasions, injury due to material tearing), immediately stop using the product and seek medical assistance if necessary. Keep the product and proof of purchase for complaint processing.
